The Hare’s ear patterns are very simple but highly effective. Originally tied in natural fur and called the Gold Ribbed Hares Ear (GRHE), many variants have now been produced using dyed Hare’s Ear fur. Usually can be tied very small to simulate tiny midge pupae or very large for cased caddis larvae. Best fished on either a dead drift or twitched using a slow figure of eight retrieve. hi dave i am from a town in New hampshire, usa, do u know were i could get some of the hooks you use like? kamasan or any of the other ones you use, I use a variety of hooks from umpqua,orvis,spirit river,and others which a perfectly good hooks i just like a variety

Many people complain of CDC not working well after a few fish. I find it works well, especially if you use a good power? floatant such as Frogs Fanny. The hackle also helps to suport this fly. If you have trouble keeping it afloat then put a few more turns of hackle. Thank you on your compliments, glad you like it! Andrew
