Legendary angler, master Carp guide, and good friend Captain Paul Rose came down from North Carolina to experience a little Red Fish action on the fly rod. The tides and conditions were not optimum but we were able to find a few pods of Red Fish and put a swimming baitfish pattern in front of a few. The no-seeums about ate us alive but we braved it and caught a couple Reds. If you ever want to experience a cool fresh water fishery, check in with Captain Paul and do a little Carolina Bone Fishing with him. For the record, Captain Paul also has some mad poling skills.
