I have to say that these’s flies are some of the most beautiful flies? I have seen made that you have uploaded! Thanks you for taking the time to show us the beauty and art that is fly tying!
That fly is beautiful. I would use? it for panfish!
@hakersylwek Davie, przet?umaczy? sobie Twoje pytanie. Patrz poni?ej. U?y?? Jungle Cock.
Hi vikking95,
Most of the capes I have bought recently came from the Glasgow Angling Centre,Tackle and Tying on the internet and from Pat Nolan in Ireland. I am always looking out for a cape that’s worth dying that colour that you can’t buy in the shops.
All the best? Davie
dear davie, I really like you’re video’s great work 🙂 but i’m? wondering where do you get you’re materials? on a nearby shop or internet? thanks anyway! by the way this is what youtube is all about, good video’s!

Hi Davie, would you tie a Whickham’s Fancy wetfly? I use it a lot in Patagonia.? Great caddis emerger imitation! Thanks in advance.
Hi Davie,
Your flies are so beautiful….Amazing! Your tying way is also great and remarkable. I love them.? Thanks for uploading…
Hi hakersylwek,
I translated your message, the yellow feather at the end of the fly is Jungle Cock….
All the best? Davie
Kto? wie z? czego s? te piórka zó?tawe co na ko?cu je zamocowa????
A tak poza tym to wielki talent.
Without the red tail, the fly is? like a Norwegian fly called “Isflua”. Imitating a stonefly…
Hi Quentin,
My favourite? way to fish is with dries but if I was using traditional flies like the Colonel Downman then the Bibio and Kate Mclaren would easily be top of the list.
All the best Davie
Hi RingOnTheEdge,
The feathers I use are? real, these capes come from a company called Fishermans Feathers that breed them here in the U.K which makes them legal. I’m sure there must be companies that buy them to sell in the U.S.A.
All the best Davie
Hey Davie, i love your videos. seems like a whole? new dimension of fly tying! anyway i was wondering if you used real or imitation jungle cock in your flies. if real what kind of permit do you have to have (if any)?

Hi zofoblues,
Many Thanks for your comment!
The Rod I use is a Leeda Profil with? a Scierra C-Lite reel!
I think it’s one of the best rods for the money and the reel is tip top. Shows you don’t need to splash out for quality in this game!
Best Regards,
~David
