It’s great to hear from someone interested in my antics. No subscription to FB or Twitter though.
Not spending enough time fishing is? my greatest fear!
YouTube is really my only outlet where I post most of my shenanigans.
Tight-lines Jamie. A greeting from Ireland
Thanks Declan, It is brilliant craic!
Cortland 7/8#, Greys GRXi fly reel, Snowbee fly lines; 7 double? taper(for mullet),8&9# weight-forward (sinking & floating) for windy con. or big flies,
Normal set-up for me is;
8# floating wt forward fly line, fluorocarbon 30lb 6/7’leader, reduced to 16lb 4’leader & sometimes a 6g split shot (as long as it doesn’t cause a bounce back) about 1′ or so up from the fly, (use if the fly doesn’t sink fast enough)
I hope this makes sense! tight lines Declan!
Hi what great crack wish i were there what setup are? you using like what fly rod, line and reel are you using. Im a bit of a newbe.
I do it differently each time. Depending on the situation.?
i realize this is a little late, but i have some advice if you still need it. after you put your tag end through the second loop, slide you left hand grip on the line all the? way up the tag end to where you want the knot to form and pinch tight, and then tighten the knot.
Try doing a bigger scale version of this at first? to practice on. Like using some yarn or weed eater line. Give yourself enough to work with.
Wow i keep on trying to do this knot and when i do it, it just goes straight down to the circle and it doesn’t stay above it. Any tips or suggestions??
