can anyone tell me what is the name of the tool used for threading?
you can ledger a booby fly about 6-10 inches from the bottom
if you fish atlantic salmon, you should really tie an atlantic salmon fly… 🙂
hey david if u dont have a fly rod could u use a light long rod to cast with . and put a small split shot on the flies. to get them were u want to on the water. from mark.
gotta tell ya dave, our patterns are way different. Normally I’ll use a copper john or griffiths gnat and be pretty successful.. but Im trying to make my box alittle bit of a variety, and your patterns definately make it there! Thanks and keep tying!
Thank you so much for your series. I have tied every one and wait for each new installment. A wonderful, easy to watch instructional video

Great!!thank you for the instroctocings for this fly!!
Hi Basemix
Thanks for your comments. much appreciated.
We will keep them coming but they do take time paricularly in the editting. I am off to NZ for a month soon so things may slow down for a while.

Hi LoneRider69
Thanks for your comments.
Iuse mostly 6/0 threads.
The most common cause of fraying is rough finger nails, rough skin on your fingers and catching the thread on the hook point in the vice…..bury it in the vice head.
