Humble does battle with the Bully of a lifetime. In the most beautiful place on earth.
Thanks Orvis! These lessons are really helpful for a beginner like me. Where is part 3?
Thank you for this video! It helped a ton!
@humblefisherman dam.. i want to move to calgary. all the fishin i do in the winter here in idaho is lake ice fish for mackinaw. its fun but i would rather be fly fishing haha.
@josegulias 🙂 Thanks, I was using a 15 lb Maxima mono leader.
@smokeyflatts the koots are the palce to be 😉
@pelletify Here in Calgary we are blessed with a river like the Bow that is open all year round. Fish can be found in “wintering holes” which are typically slow and deep. Fighting the iced up line guides are a pain, and the ice ledges are dangerous, but the fishing can be fantasic on +0 day
wat are your thoughts on winter fly fishing?
@willcomentforfood oh yeah >.> maybe i should read the captions……
@pelletify the opening says somewhere in canada
Very nice, good to see you come west every once and a while. Gotta love fishing the koots
what state is this in? or is it even in the u.s.?
Omg that thing is huge…I live near there and I haven’t even hooked a bully….yet…
Thanks humblefisherman. Amazing video and great fight. What tippet were you using? Thanks friend.
the bull trout. my favorite fish that i havent even caught yet. amazing vid. what a fish.
What a toad!
WOW!!!!!!
that was the best video i have ever seen, and i bet you did wish you had your 8wt lol.
That’s epic! Well done.
ooooh ok thanks for that
they are not hybrids but they also arent true trout. they are a member of the char family, along with lake trout, brook trout, dolly varden and arctic char.etc. etc.
Love the scenery and the fish. I’ve only fished one river with them in Montana and it looked similar to that one. Problem is they’re protected so I have to live vicariously through you up in BC where you can fish for them. Great video.
Nice fish man, those things get like steelhead size! Do you ever go Steelhead fishing? ( My personal favorite :] )
is a bull trout a hybrid or does it just get the tag of trout by looking like one
Totally, I think they did a great job of getting the shot and releasing the fish with as little stress as possible. If they would have just tossed it right back it would have got pummeled on the rocks. They did the right thing by taking their time reviving the fish. I personally had to revive a 20″ cutthroat for nearly 4 minutes before it had the energy to swim away on it’s own. And it wasn’t nearly the fight that bull trout put on.
You guys know how to have fun. Nice fish and nice tunes!
haha nice bull i got mine on the elk river 2 years ago with a 5 wt it was 32 inches awesome fish
wery nice fish
