Hey Eric, this is literally the first house dock on the left. I launched at night this one time and that light happened to be on. I’ve come back there several times to see if it is left on again… but it never has been. This video is the first and? last time I fished that spot. Sometimes it’s about being at the right spot at the right time.
Where is this at I know where 8 mile road is but where? is the fishing spot?
As far as what to get… pick bait cast or spin rod, then match the coil number to whether you he uses? a light, medium or heavy action rod. Then see if you want your handle short or long (that’s pure preference) – I’d go with a longer cork one.
Hey Jeff, I l used to use Emmrods only. But I noticed when you’re fishing? where the bite sensitivity is critical, I’d stick to a traditional rod. I use mine for throwing lures. If your dad is real old school – he might not like it. Again, it’s hard to feel a bite and also hard to steer and control the fish when it’s on. I’m not sure how he fishes and what type of fish he’s after. But I’ve caught everything on my Emmrod, I’m not sure how many bites I didn’t feel tho and how many I missed.
I’m thinking about ordering a Eemrod for dad’s b-day.? We kayak fish but does that mean I should get the “Kayak Eemrod”.
