Fly Fishing Brook Trout in the Fall is an opportunity I rarely pass up. The colors that Brook trout take on in the fall are truly remarkable. If you’re lucky enough to catch a big one, the memory will last a lifetime. Here is a video diary of some nice brookies caught in and around the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Enjoy!!
Video Rating: 4 / 5
A weekend in michigan troutfishing for huge browns and rainbows.
@H8UZNB8 Yeah lucky! I can never find a “dedicated” camera guy! lol. I’ll be getting in some Brookie fishing this weekend. Can’t wait. BTW that’s some beautiful country you fish in.
@styrobuzz Actually Jeff has not done a whole lot of fly fishing, but he loves the camera work and on this particular day, I was lucky enough to have him follow me around.
Great vid. and fish. Did the camera guy even fish or just take footage?
@H8UZNB8 Ahaha
perfect fish!!! and would give a nice fight! tight lines dude
I use some bead eggs that I tie and various other patterns that make the fish mad. Most these fish are pre-spawn and are very aggressive.
what fly or flies are u using?
Yeah this is true. The bucks seem to get the groove on a bunch earlier int this area. Although this past year was a bit strange as we had a large winter storm hit and it kind of got them going earlier then usual. thanks for watching
Nice video. You have to love the colors of brookies in the fall.
It is interesting how some of the buck’s look skinny, like they have been in the spawn process for quite a while. Most of the hens had really plump bodies.
Nice Video!
Beautiful colors on those Brookies this time of year!
LOL… that is the answer I would give too. Thanks.
Oh that is one good question. Thanks for watching.
What is the name of the lake you were on? It looks familiar.
The Boyne River, the pool just below the old powerplant. the best trout fishing ever. I loved fishing for bass at the mouth of the Boyne, too, plus the Salmon runs up the Boyne every year.
I found the rapid river in kalkaska county to be great for brook trout
where are you?
@MrLSwanson more like the rifle river west branch division
@MrLSwanson by the looks of it, I would say Fly Only Section on the Pere Marquette River from Green Cottage to Gleasons Landing
Really good looking trout of size would be great to know what river your fishing. It seems excellent and not too fast.
good looking trout.. I have seen a brown that was double this size that was caught in a cow pasture creek.
N Ohio we have alot of large trout and Steelhead.
These are beautiful no doubt but i would not say Giant.
Still damn nice job.
i live in Michigan and trout fish only in Michigan
Michigans trout are some of the best. Happy to live here and enjoy them
Michigan has HUGE trout and i live in michigan
I love all your videos and the music is great for them! What’s the name of this trance track?
that rainbow was truly a beast….
Great Job!
This would have been so much better with out the techno music. Is the first tune you think of when you hit the PM or the Au Sable techno….doesnt fit
Where is this?
