I like the cdc underwing. You should try a dubbing loop and add the cdc to
your dubbing. Cdc traps air bubbles and might be worth a try in the body as
well.

Thanks for the comments, Matt; I’ve had a lot of luck with that underwing,
possibly bc those fibers can appear to represent caddis legs. Have you
already tried cdc in a dubbing loop for a similar pattern? Do you trim the
lengthy fibers after applying the loop?

I’m curious why you put a tail on it. I thought Caddis didn’t have tails.
You’re correct, caddis don’t have tails. Did you see the first minute of
this video? There is an explanation for the “shuck,” which I believe you
are calling the tail. That material is used to represent the emerging
caddis (versus the adult that you may be used to tying)…thanks for
checking!
