FLY TYING SESSION: San Juan Worm

This is for the bait & gear fisherman that is in transition of becoming a fly fisherman or just interested in being one. We also have “flies” that resembles bait and the San Juan Worm is one of many. Easy to tie but a very deadly fly. I’ve caught just about all kinds of fishes with this fly, including inshore saltwater fishes. Enjoy & keep fishing!!! Hmm, never did that to me before. I guess it depends on the core string. Micro chenille, ultra chenille or vernille always works though.? Keep in mind the smaller the kind of chenille, the more it matches the aquatic worms that trout eat. Try the latter 3 choices and let me know how it turns out. Cheers!
