lol It’s great that these surgeons have so much spare time on their hands?? I’m sure that this very expensive and fantastic operating device is surely put to the use it’s intended for. With all that said I’m sure that this does show it’s very capable uses in surgeries and just how precise and very delicate the machine operates. My local Hospital has just purchase one and has begun it’s use in several types of surgeries, with more to come in the future. I’m sure that the daVinci will be a great
hey Dave. im just beginning fly tying. my 5th grade teacher got me into it. after 4 years ive been able to finally get a steady income to try it out for real. looking on the web this is the best toutrial ive seen on the web. all i got right now is chicken feathers from next door and thread from the sewing kit. ive been looking on how to do it. your videos are helping me alot. and ive learned i need more stuff. thanks Dave.
I just went down to buy a vise and tools to start tying my own flys and I struggled, it wasn’t until I watched your videos that i was able to complete my first fly. Thanks so much Dave. Happy Fishing
David, Thanks so much for the Great Fly Tying Videos! I’ve been tying for a couple years, mostly for blue gill fishing here in Wisconsin, US. When winter sets in here I spend a few months restocking my fly collection since it’s too cold to do anything else. It’s so nice to watch someone tying closeup like this. I’ve been going through your lessons in order and just wanted to say Thankyou. I’d be more then happy to send a little money your way for all that you’ve shown me.
David, I’m new to tying flies. What fly tying vise do you recommend? I’ve got a Griffin Mongoose Rotary. Are the more expensive vises forth their price?
Thanks for yo0ur input and your lessons.

All I can say is that your video was the first one I looked up after getting my new fly-tying kit. After watching you, I’m going to throw my instruction manual away because you are much easier to follow!!! I wish I could give you a big hug! Thank you!!!
hi dave, a while back you told me that this fly was good for chub, and i found this out when i banged into a 5lb 9oz monster on a trout session, and two casts later, along came a 5lb 2oz rainbow along with around 30 others averaging 3lb! what a great fly!
hi dave i;m a fly tier from eastern ct.usa i love your variation of th pt nymph i think its one of the best flies ever tied and should be a standard in any fly box that fly has caught countless trout. i sometimes leave it tied on until theres hardly anything left keep up the good work i heard you comment in one of your videos about the old man that taught you how to tie as i too had the same tutelege he taught me how to tie a fly out of heron and starling that he called a killer and boy was it

Not sure why my post didn’t go under eggmanpop’s question. You can also tie on some lead wire for weight to this pattern.
Give the Gold Ribbed Hare’s Ear a try. David tied it in his Lesson 3.
